Power Flushing

What Is Power Flushing?

Power flushing cleanses your central heating system. It is a chemical solution that removes unwanted elements like rust or debris from the pipes throughout the system. These elements can cause serious problems to your system, and can lead to build ups of dirt which in turn, will cause your boiler to break down or reduce the heat from your radiators. Power flushing prolongs the life of your heating system, allowing everything to work more efficiently.

How Do You Know When Your System Needs Power Flushing?

There are many signs informing you that your central heating system needs to be power flushed, these include:

  • Noisy boilers and radiators
  • Leaking radiators
  • Cold patches on radiators/boiler breakdowns
  • Your central heating takes a long time to warm up/not heating up radiators even when the boiler is turned on
  • Discoloured water/lack of water when radiator is being bled
  • Cloudy tap water

It is advised to have a power flush performed when a new boiler is fitted, as well as every 5-6 years to avoid any unnecessary damage and to keep everything in excellent condition.
